This Nexilis Advisory Board includes distinguished insurance, business and technology leaders whose focus is to shape and guide the strategy and go-tomarket priorities of Nexilis, working closely with the leadership team.

Erin is the Founder of Sterling James, a premier executive search and leadership advisor for the insurance industry. Prior to founding Sterling James, Erin served as a Partner with the insurance practices of both Heidrick & Struggles and Spencer Stuart. During this time, she also took a year sabbatical to work for the U.S. Department of Defense, where she helped with efforts to rebuild infrastructure in Iraq.

Erin has worked extensively with board members, CEOs and other senior executives in all sectors of the insurance industry: property/casualty, reinsurance, life/annuity, brokerage and in insurance related business services. Additionally she has worked with both private equity firms and venture-backed concerns with interests in the insurance industry. Earlier in her career, Erin served in both line and staff roles at The Hartford and at the brokerage firm Hamilton Dorsey Alston.

Erin is a graduate of Villanova University. She helped launch and support Saint Joseph’s University bi-annual study on Insurance Industry Demographics. Erin and Sterling James supported Drake University’s first study on Women’s Leadership Advancement in the Insurance Sector. She is a frequent contributor to Wells Media Publications, Carrier Management and in 2015 was named one of the top 50 women globally in re/insurance by Reactions Magazine. In June 2016, Erin was honored as the 2016 APIW Insurance Woman of the Year. She currently sits on the board of the LPGA Foundation, the Georgia State University Risk Management Foundation Board and is President of the Board of Governors of Springdale Golf Club, Princeton, NJ. In 2020, rin joined the Strategic Advisory Board of Talentguard, a VC backed talent management software company in Austin, Texas.
